Cannondale technologies

A return to

A constant since 1971, innovation is without doubt one of the values that best defines the company. Far from resting on its laurels, Cannondale is constantly refining its technologies while developing new ones.

In 2000, Cannondale designed the Hollogram crankset. Si (for System Integration) crankset, a 30 mm-diameter bottom bracket with integrated bearings. Tested on the Tour de France the same year, this technology PressFit technology gave its name to the BB30 standard adopted by many manufacturers. Less friction, greater stiffness: these are just some of the qualities of the SystemSix racing bike, an aero model that maximizes power transfer.

The brand's first all-carbon bike, the Synapse racing bike features specially profiled vibration-absorbing tubes. More or less flexible depending on the race profile, this "Save" micro-suspension technology significantly enhances comfort.

Topstone Gravel bikes also feature an ingenious suspension solution: the KingPin system softens the rear triangle by means of a through pivot, offering up to 30 mm of travel without the need for a link shock.

The 13th of its kind, the new Cannondale CAAD racing bike is the result of years of experience, legitimately placing the company among the world's leading aluminum specialists. Versatile, comfortable and attractively priced, this model uses 6069 aluminum tubing for aerodynamic design and responsive handling.

MOUNTAIN BIKING

In 2002, Cannondale launched what would become one of the most successful XC World Cup models ever: the iconic Scalpel mountain bike. Paving the way for full-suspension MTBs, it now boasts a sophisticated carbon-fibre blend. BallisTec Hi-MOD carbon fiber blend, offering a perfect compromise between lightness and rigidity.

Other models designed for Enduro use, such as the Habit, even incorporate a " Proportional Response "kinematics adjusted to the rider's height. More comfortable, this design guarantees better traction and precise control of the bike. Shorter chainstays and rear clearance allow the fitting of wide tires and a double chainring. All thanks to the " Asymmetric Integration "(or simply "Ai") geometry, which offsets the transmission and hub by 6 mm to the right, reinforcing the rigidity of the whole.

Today, Lefty MTB technology - a single-arm fork launched in 2000 and constantly improved since then - also equips city bikes like the Bad Boy. More than just an atypical design, this system makes for lighter weight, greater robustness and greater rigidity than most other models on the market.

And a range
electric
offer!

With the Neo range, Cannondale is giving electric bicycles a run for their money. By teaming up early on with German manufacturer Bosch, the brand has opted for quality and performance. Always carefully integrated into the frame, the drive unit offers smooth, powerful pedaling with behavior adapted to every riding style. While the Performance CX motor on the Moterra electric mountain bike is particularly sporty, the Active Line Plus version of the Synapse electric racing bike favors smoothness and endurance.

Cannondale also offers electrically-assisted city bikes, some with Ebikemotion motors that are as discreet as they are efficient.

Digital
for
cyclist

All your bike's data, such as device settings, trip data and technical information, can now be accessed via a simple application. The app even tells you when maintenance is required, while keeping a valuable record of your bike's history. But the Cannondale app also includes video content and a way to measure the positive carbon impact of your journeys.

You'll also be able to add a wheel sensor - developed in partnership with Garmin - for precise measurement of your rides. Intelligent, it is triggered at the first pedal stroke, without you needing to activate it manually. While the brand works relentlessly on the technical evolution of its bikes, it now also intends to offer a connected experience to enhance their use.
