Description

The TACX Flux S Smart T2900S home trainer is an electromagnetic resistance model. It offers all the advantages of this system, which eliminates the need for a rear wheel during assembly: the rear axle attaches directly to the home trainer, reducing noise during use, and solving the problem of rear tire wear!

The Flux Smart's resistance combines an electromagnetic brake with a 7 kg flywheel (22.8 kg flywheel effect), offering a superior impression of realism in the sensation of pedaling and progressing on the flat or up a hill. Suitable for regular cyclists, who can let their explosive power shine through, this model features a brake with a maximum power rating of 1500 watts, and can simulate a slope of up to 10% to let climbers work on their pedal stroke in the mountains!

Indispensable for qualitative training follow-up, connectivity to smartphones and tablets is possible via ANT+ and Bluetooth protocols, enabling you to use the functionalities offered by TACX applications (course simulation of renowned races, work focused on power or cadence), or other software, such as Zwift and TrainerRoad. The Flux Smart can also be used as a stand-alone device, without connectivity, simulating a flat road.

Practical and efficient

"I was looking for a hometrainer that was compatible with a through axis. Disassembly to change from the QR to the through axle requires tools (multi-socket) and blows up the paint since there's no flat spot on the part. To fit the cassette, don't forget the ring before inserting the cassette, otherwise you won't be able to tighten the assembly properly. Please note that the feet do not fold away, so the hometrainer is rather bulky. Once in place, the bike is easy to set up. Set-up requires the Tacx app, but is fairly straightforward: just follow the on-screen instructions. The slope-dependent adaptive resistance is a nice touch, allowing you to vary your training compared with a "classic" hometrainer. Our only regret is the limited number of courses available without the need for a paid subscription. . Positive points : - Compatible with through axis - Realistic training - Easy to use Negative points : - Difficult and impossible to assemble without tools - Few courses available without a subscription - Cumbersome once assembled".

Good but unstable

"Quite quiet however is not stable at all . The feet are poorly designed, it tends to lean seriously to the left when you get into a dancer. Too bad."

"Super home trainer nothing to say except that I can't connect to swift... I've tried every possibility though."

Juxxd (4/5)

The ideal connected home trainer

"Home-trainer great for making up for cancelled bike rides. The connection to Zwift, Tacx or others allows you to have fun and stay in shape. The price is right vs. the competition."

Blo750 (5/5)

Super machine

"Super quiet, good feel, easy calibration with the Tacx app, really easy connectivity (recommends ant+) and what's more the adapters come with it! Great tool to start training on zwift."

Defective belt

"Product bought at the beginning of December, worked well for 3 weeks but since then very noisy squeaking coming from the belt. The noise makes it extremely unpleasant to use and only gets louder. Very disappointed with the product, avoid it! After-sales service requested, awaiting probike's reply."

Lauamb (1/5)
