The brand was founded in 1989 when two former motocross riders working in suspension decided to collaborate to create bicycle suspensions. Fairly quickly, RockShox became the world leader in forks and shock absorbers and was eventually integrated into the SRAM group in 2002. From 2004, the brand launched its first components designed in collaboration with SRAM, notably the Pike and Reba models which were a great success.
