"Perfect for mounting a wheel on a Boost-compatible frame. To make sure the spacers don't get lost when I take the wheel off out in the field, I put a dot of glue on them during assembly, and it works perfectly..."
"It does the job well, letting you mount a 142x12 wheel on a Boost 148 frame. Braking is fine, and as for shifting—I was surprised—with just a quick adjustment to the derailleur cable (or even the cable take-up screw), the gears shift perfectly. The only issue is that the largest sprocket doesn’t shift/work well because it’s too crossed, but that’s normal. This allowed me to test the Mullet setup on a 29er by adapting a 27.5-inch wheel to the rear. It worked, so I’m going to build myself a real 148/12 Boost wheel, because even though this works perfectly, I’ll need the largest sprocket in the mountains."
"A simple and effective kit. Be careful not to lose the washers if you get a flat tire. You'll need to adjust the rear derailleur."
"This adapter does the job; it's well-made and looks clean. I'm taking this opportunity to leave a review. For those who want to mount their non-Boost rear wheel on a Boost frame, I recommend buying two. Let me explain. You need to place both 3mm washers on the axle, on the disc side, to shift the hub and cassette toward the derailleur side and maintain proper chainline. This means placing two spacers between the hub and the disc, but also offsetting the rim by 3 mm, always toward the disc. This way, you’ll get a perfect gear shift without any issues."
"This article helped me adapt a pair of 27.5-inch wheels with 15x100 and 12x142 axles to the Boost standard of my new Nukeproof MEGA 275 frame. I did this to keep costs down. Installing the wheel axle spacers is a pain, and I’m worried about what might happen if I end up having to change a tube out in the field... losing them is practically guaranteed."
"I bought this kit for a ROVAL CONTROL with a 12x135 hub that already had a 12x142 adapter. It was very easy to install. Once the rear derailleur was adjusted, there were no issues with the drivetrain. No play in the wheel, and the rear brake rotor is perfectly aligned."
"I bought this to convert my Mavic XA Elite wheels to the Boost standard for my new bike. Installation is very simple, the product is well-made, and there’s no play once it’s in place. The problem is that my SRAM 12-speed cassette is too far to the left, and the two largest sprockets are hard to shift into; the chain creaks and skips when I force it, even after adjusting the derailleur—what a shame!!!"
"The product is well-made. It was easy to install on the rear wheel."
