"I've been using Magura since 2008, and I particularly appreciate the powerful—and somewhat aggressive—braking feel of this brand. However, in this case, I don’t see any improvement over my previous performance pads. Mounted on a 13-kg AM with an 180mm Storm SL rotor and MT5, the braking could really be better. We get picky over time! I also tell myself they need a long break-in period. Well, I’m going to put my 200mm rotor back on—so be it if it adds a bit of weight."

"I installed these brake pads in place of the stock ones on an MT5e. It’s a Super Commuter +9s . . . . I rode 2,500 km on the stock pads!!! And with the Race pads, I’ve covered 5,000 km since May and they’ve barely shown any wear. The only downside, if you can call it that, is the noise in wet conditions. They squeal really loudly, but at least people can hear me coming from a mile away."
