Good for motorcycle GP... much less so for cyclo touring!
"I've always been a motorcyclist and I was convinced by the marketing argument of the Galfer brand's results in GP motorcycling. I thought this could be applied to bikes, but in all objectivity and after almost 400 kms with them, I'm very disappointed by these very expensive pads (I opted for the Pro version for Magura MT2). In fact, I can't see any improvement in braking compared with the 2x cheaper metal pads from another brand that I've been using until now. What's worse is that the feel has become unpleasant, that of a brake with no real bite or attack, almost "elastic". Clearly, Galfer doesn't use the same engineers for bikes as for motorcycles. Or maybe marketing has unwittingly deceived me again... ..."
