Description
The ENVE AR40 rear wheel joins the Foundation range with a design focused on versatility and performance. Its 40 mm high carbon rim and 25 mm internal width offer an excellent balance between aerodynamic efficiency, stability and comfort, both on the road and on rough surfaces.
Aerodynamics are at the heart of the development of the ENVE AR40 rear wheel. Wind-tunnel tested in the Mercedes-Benz Formula One tunnel, it benefits from a realistic approach with tests in real-life conditions and at different speeds. This method guarantees optimum efficiency and reassuring handling, even in crosswinds.
Designed for tubeless use, it features a HOOKLESS profile optimized for tires over 28 mm. This choice results in reduced rolling resistance, improved comfort and a significantly reduced risk of punctures. Pressure can be adjusted to maximize grip and performance.
The rim features WIDE HOOKLESS BEAD technology, designed to better dissipate impacts and protect against bumps and potholes. Molded spoke holes, the result of a patented process, reinforce the structure while reducing weight and maintenance.
Finally, the INNERDRIVE™ hub ensures reliable, long-lasting engagement thanks to its oversized 42 mm Ratchet system. This architecture reduces stress on the axle, extends bearing life and guarantees smooth, precise, high-performance transmission over the long term.
