The HOPE TECH 4 EVO GR4 brake embodies the pinnacle of British technology and craftsmanship. Designed to deliver a perfect feel and absolute control, it represents the ultimate evolution of the renowned Tech 4 system. Entirely machined from a block of 2014 T6 aluminium, it combines precision, power and reliability to meet the demands of the most extreme disciplines, including downhill and e-bike.
The TECH 4 EVO master cylinder benefits from significant improvements: new piston, floating head, optimised cam, second guide ring and three new levers. These developments deliver smooth and customisable control of braking power. The lever pivot rests on two annular bearings, ensuring a smooth and consistent action, while the adjustment dials allow fine-tuning of the free stroke and reach according to the rider's preferences.
The GR4 calliper, Post-Mount standard (74.2 mm), is machined one-piece for increased rigidity and controlled weight. Its four hybrid pistons — two at 17 mm and two at 18 mm — deliver maximum power and optimal thermal management. This model offers 6% more power compared to the Tech 4 V4, while retaining exemplary progressiveness. Ideal for gravity and e-bikes, it remains incompatible with vented discs.
Supplied with three types of pads (Racing, All Conditions, and E-Bike), the HOPE TECH 4 EVO GR4 adapts to all disciplines. With its 2 m hose, its 14 colour combinations and its highly refined design, it establishes itself as the absolute benchmark in high-end braking for the most demanding riders.
