Description

The TACX Flux 2 Smart T2980 indoor trainer is an electromagnetic resistance model. It thus offers all the advantages of this system, which does away with the rear wheel during assembly: the rear axle attaches directly to the indoor trainer, reducing noise in use and solving the problem of rear tyre wear!

The Flux Smart's resistance combines an electromagnetic brake with a 7.6 kg flywheel (32 kg flywheel effect), which provide a superior sense of realism in the feeling of pedalling and progression on the flat or on climbs. Suitable for regular riders who can let their explosive power shine through, this model features a brake with a maximum power of 2000 watts and can simulate a gradient of up to 16%, allowing climbers to work on their pedal stroke in the mountains!

Essential for qualitative training monitoring, connectivity to smartphones and tablets is possible via ANT+ and Bluetooth protocols, allowing you to use the features offered by TACX applications (simulation of famous race routes, work focused on power or cadence), or other software such as Zwift and TrainerRoad. The Flux Smart can also be used completely autonomously, without connectivity, in which case it simulates a flat road.

"I can't compare it with any other device. It's the only one I've tried. Pedaling is very similar to mountain biking. The only difference is that there are no jerks on my machine. It exists on others, but I don't know. Still, it's very realistic and even more difficult than in the wild. If you're using a big screen with videos (Garmin app), you tend to lose your balance in the turns because it's so realistic. Very important, don't forget to put a mat under the bike to avoid puddles of perspiration. Happy pedaling!
