The LEATT Gravity 4.0 Pants are the pants of choice for downhill and BMX racers. Their special feature is their ultra-light, stretch fabric construction, offering an unrivalled "second-skin" feel. Unlike the 3.0, which is sturdier and a little wider, the 4.0 focuses on aerodynamics and maximum breathability.
These are pants designed for speed. They are cut with a close-fitting ankle to avoid contact with the chain, and feature Brush Guard reinforcements at the knees to resist chafing without adding unnecessary weight. For 2026, it benefits from an even more stable waist structure to stay in place during the most explosive sprints.
What's the difference with Gravity 3.0? The 3.0 is thicker and a little more resistant to pure abrasion (ideal for freeride or repeated falls). The 4.0 is much lighter, more breathable and has a more "racing" cut (closer to the body).
Can I wear knee pads underneath? Yes, despite its tight fit, the fabric is so stretchy that it accepts AirFlex-type knee pads or thin DH protectors without a problem. For very massive rigid shells, model 3.0 will be more comfortable.
Is it suitable for use in the rain? It has a water-repellent coating that protects against small splashes, but its priority is ventilation. For riding in pouring rain, pants from the Hydradri range will be more appropriate.
