What does the EB24 standard mean? The "EB" refers to the Euro Bottom Bracket standard (BSA threading), while the "24" indicates the internal diameter of the bearings, specifically designed to accommodate a 24 mm crankset axle.
Is it compatible with Press Fit frames (BB86, BB30)? No. This bottom bracket has threads and screws directly onto the outside of the frame. It is exclusively designed for frames fitted with a threaded bottom bracket shell to the Euro/BSA standard (the most common standard on aluminium BMX frames).
How to extend the life of this bottom bracket? Although the bearings are sealed and very well protected, it is advisable to regularly clean the area around the cranks with clean water and to avoid directing a high-pressure washer jet directly onto the bottom bracket seals. An initial installation with quality grease on the frame threads is also essential to prevent any future creaking.
