GARMIN VARIA RADAR RTL 515 Rear Light

This GARMIN Varia Radar RTL 515 rear radar light is an essential solution for improving cyclist safety, allowing them to be clearly visible in all circumstances, day and night, and alerting them to the arrival of a vehicle from behind, from a distance of 140 metres (up to 8 vehicles at the same time)! When a vehicle is detected, the light illuminates to clearly signal your presence. 

This accessory can fit both a city/touring bike or a road bike; it installs very easily on the seatpost thanks to the included mounting kit.

The design of the waterproof housing has been reworked to integrate even better into the aesthetics of road bikes. The indicator light is now visible at 220°, and the system can still be used in continuous mode (6 hours of battery life) or flashing mode (16 hours of battery life). During the day, the cyclist is visible up to 1,600 metres thanks to a light output of 60 lumens in flashing mode.

In addition to the audible alert, this system pairs perfectly with a GPS Edge or Wahoo Element, Bolt and ROAM, which will visually warn you of what is approaching from behind. It is also compatible with Android and iOS smartphones via the Varia Mobile App. The Radar also works with the Komoot, RidewithGPS smartphone apps and more to come. In addition to the audible alert, approaching vehicles are indicated by a colour code (Green = all clear, Orange = vehicle approaching, Red = vehicle approaching at high speed).
