Description
The RRP CX-Guard is the world's first mudguard designed specifically for rigid Cyclo-cross and Gravel forks. Unlike MTB models, it is contoured to fit narrow forks and thinner-section tires (32 mm to 45 mm).
Its mission is simple but crucial: prevent water and mud splashes from reaching your face and, and, above all, your headset bearings. In CX racing, where visibility is the key to success, the CX-Guard becomes a major ally in keeping your eyes clear, lap after lap, without adding wind grip or superfluous weight.
Does it get in the way if the mud is very sticky? The CX-Guard is very thin and leaves maximum clearance. Its smooth profile helps mud to evacuate rather than accumulate, which is a major advantage over the bare wheel arches of carbon forks.
Can I install it on the rear? This model is specifically optimized for the front. For the rear of a Gravel bike, we generally recommend the EnduroGuard model in Standard size, which fits better on thin seatstays.
Will it scratch my carbon fork? As with any frame-mounted accessory, we recommend using a small piece of transparent protective tape (such as ClearProtect) at the clamp contact points.
