BROOKS CAMBIUM C13 158 mm Black Saddle

The BROOKS C13 Saddle is the technical flagship of the Cambium range. Developed for demanding road cyclists and competitors, it replaces the traditional steel chassis with a continuous carbon monocoque structure. This technological choice not only considerably reduces weight, but also increases stiffness for optimal power transfer.

Despite its race-oriented profile, the C13 does not sacrifice comfort. It still uses the vulcanised natural rubber surface that has made Brooks famous. This material acts as a natural suspension, absorbing road vibrations that rigid plastic saddles typically transmit to the rider. With its refined profile and premium finishes, it is the ideal partner for the most high-performance carbon or titanium frames.

Are the carbon rails compatible with my seatpost? The C13 has oval rails measuring 7x9 mm. Most modern seatposts with lateral or vertical clamping are compatible, but check whether your clamp requires specific adapters for oval carbon rails.

Is it much stiffer than the C15? The carbon chassis is stiffer, which improves efficiency. However, the rubber surface remains flexible, meaning you retain the "Brooks" comfort even on a race saddle.

Why is there no foam padding? The very design of the saddle (rubber stretched over the chassis) eliminates the need for foam. Unlike foam, which eventually compresses, vulcanised rubber retains its cushioning properties throughout the entire lifespan of the saddle.

Is it suitable for Gravel? Yes, many cyclists use it for competitive Gravel riding for its ability to filter micro-vibrations while remaining very lightweight for acceleration.
