The SHIMANO XC502 MTB shoes are a sleek and versatile XC model offering high performance to more riders.

The lightweight and durable Shimano Ultread XC rubber outsole provides long-lasting grip suited to competition-level demands. In addition, the lightweight upper, with optimised material placement, guarantees a comfortable and precise fit. The BOA® L6 dial, located on the instep strap, allows quick and secure fastening, adapting to a wide range of foot shapes.

The fibreglass-reinforced midsole improves power transfer for optimal efficiency when pedalling. The wraparound upper structure, reducing overlaps, ensures a glove-like fit. Furthermore, the customisable lugs allow you to select and swap cleats according to riding styles and conditions. The low-stack midsole promotes foot stabilisation, optimising power transfer and overall pedalling efficiency.

Wide sizes feature a wide toe box circumference.

Good, but difficult to install tips

"Good shoe but installation of the spikes is tricky, the screw installed waiting for the spikes not supplied is sealed with strong threadlocker. This screw can only be removed with a large pair of pliers by forcing. This uncovers the nut, which is not securely fastened. Once fixed, the tip sinks in because the sole is soft at this point. In the end, it held, but the impression was average.
