Can I leave it on my bike when I'm riding alone? Yes, you can, but thanks to the Quick-Release system, it's so easy to remove that it's preferable to take it off for solo riding.
Will it damage my carbon handlebars? No, the clamps are fully lined with protective rubber. There's no metal-to-metal contact, which preserves the integrity and aesthetics of your handlebars.
