The handlebar Stay Strong Straight Race is a high-end technical component that meets precise geometric requirements on the BMX Race track. Made from high-end heat-treated 4130 Chromoly steel after welding, this handlebar offers absolute strength and a complete absence of flex, which is crucial during gate starts.

Its low height of 3 inches (Rise) makes it the ideal choice for the Cruiser (24 inch) category, allowing the natural height of the large wheels to be compensated in order to maintain an aggressive, low riding position. Its structure benefits from Multi-Butted technology (variable tube thicknesses), which eliminates excess weight at the centre of the tubes while reinforcing the high-stress zones. Its Straight geometry (straighter) promotes direct arm alignment for maximum power transfer.

Why choose a handlebar only 3 inches high? This handlebar is aimed primarily at Cruiser riders (BMX 24"). As 24" wheels naturally raise the front of the bike, a standard 7 or 8 inch handlebar would make the cockpit far too high and unstable. A height of 3" lowers the centre of gravity and loads the front end to maintain maximum grip in corners. Some tall BMX 20" riders also use it combined with a very long frame for specific setups.

What is the distinguishing feature of the "Straight" range at Stay Strong? The Straight series is characterised by a very slight or neutral rear sweep angle (backsweep). The grips remain very aligned with the crossbar, which encourages the rider to open their elbows and project their body forward. This is a geometry highly appreciated by powerful and aggressive riders on gate starts.

Is it compatible with my stem? Yes, it uses the standard clamping diameter of 22.2 mm. It fits without any issue on all BMX stems on the market (Top Load or Front Load).
