TOPEAK JOEBLOW ROADIE EX Floor Pump

The TOPEAK JoeBlow Roadie EX is the specialised variant of the Urban EX range. Where conventional pumps prioritise air volume, the Roadie EX is designed to build up pressure with remarkable ease. Its narrower steel body makes it possible to reach high pressures (up to 11 bar) without having to push excessively hard on the handle.

It retains the key asset of the EX series: its raised 3.5-inch pressure gauge. Positioned right before your eyes, it enables precise pressure control, which is crucial on a road bike where a 0.5 bar difference radically changes comfort and efficiency. Its SmartHead® ensures full compatibility without any adjustment.

Why choose the Roadie EX over the Urban EX? If you ride mainly on a road bike with narrow tyres (23mm to 30mm sections), the Roadie EX is made for you. It requires less force to reach high pressures. The Urban EX, with its wider body, delivers more air but becomes harder to pump beyond 5–6 bar.

Is it compatible with MTB valves? Yes, the SmartHead® accepts Schrader valves (MTB). However, as it delivers less air per stroke than the Urban model, you will need to pump a little longer to fill a large MTB tyre.

Is the pressure gauge durable? Yes, it is protected by a robust composite casing. Its elevated positioning also protects it from accidental knocks with your feet during pumping.

Is the pump head repairable? Absolutely. As with all JoeBlow pumps, you can find replacement seals or complete heads to make it last a lifetime.
