TOPEAK JOEBLOW ROADIE EX foot pump

The JoeBlow Roadie EX is the specialized version of the Urban EX range. Where conventional pumps focus on air volume, the Roadie EX is designed to build up pressure with disconcerting ease. Its narrower steel body enables it to reach high pressures (up to 11 bar) without having to exert excessive force on the handle.

It retains the EX series' key asset: its raised 3.5" pressure gauge. Placed right in front of your eyes, it allows millimetric pressure control, which is crucial on a road bike where 0.5 bar difference radically changes comfort and performance. Its SmartHead® head ensures total compatibility with no handling required.

Why choose the Roadie EX over the Urban EX? If you ride mainly road bikes with thin tires (23mm to 30mm sections), the Roadie EX is for you. It requires less force to reach high pressures. The Urban EX, with its wider body, sends out more air but becomes harder to pump above 5-6 bar.

Is it compatible with mountain bike valves? Yes, the SmartHead® accepts Schrader (ATV) valves. However, since it delivers less air per stroke than the Urban model, you'll need to pump a little longer to fill a large ATV tire.

Is the pressure gauge durable? Yes, it's protected by a sturdy composite housing. Its high positioning also protects it from accidental impacts with the feet while pumping.

Is the pump head repairable? Absolutely. As with all JoeBlow pumps, you can find replacement seals or complete heads to last a lifetime.
